Clear Side Indicators

One of the few cosmetic changes I made to my new Surf was to fit clear side indicators. I just think they look so much nicer, especially on the dark blue. I didn't think £20 from Roughtrax was too bad either. They are direct replacements for the standard ones and come with amber bulbs.

They are quite easy to fit, I just wrapped a cloth around the end of a wide flat-bladed screwdriver and carefully prised-off the old units (you can see how they clip into the bodywork by looking at the new units). Then you just need to disconnect from the wires, replace the bulbs and carefully puch the new units back into the bodywork.

Sorry about the poor picture. The amber bulb is very obvious, if you want the complete "clear" look you will need to buy some chromed amber bulbs (look silver but glow amber) which should be available at most car supplies places - they are quite common nowadays as a lot of cars like VW Golfs have totally clear front light clusters.
